When I was younger my Joes didn't have a base of their own. So I used the best base I had in my closet...
The Hall of Justice! The Joes were a bit undersized sitting around the console, but I didn't care. That was some good stuff. Wish I still had that toy. Everyonce in a while Robin and Superman would have to be called in to help defeat Lex Luther and the Joker. |

2003 Action Figures - Turtle Lair Playset What I did was I folded it up so that it's in the Portable Mode, removed one wall, and Voila! A cozy 1 room 2 floor HQ. The scale is slightly off (when 4" figures sit on the sofa, their feet are about 2 - 4 mm off the ground), but it still works for me. |

I love this thread. I used to have a giant green demon or dragon head that was a base I think from the Dungeons and Dragons toy line. That was awesome. I used that as my cobra base. Sorry I don't have any pics.

One of the first playsets I got was the 1990's Millenium Falcon from Star Wars. That thing was friggin' awesome, and became the envy of all my friends. That was pretty much THE playset to have in the mid to latter 90's.

I see no one has mentioned my all time favorite playset (I could have missed it over the 17 pages).
The 2003 Ninja Turtles Lair playset. With a little help from Marauders, this is a better Pitt then Hasbro's Pitt (though I call mine the Safehouse). The entertainment center and couch alone make this great. The Joes are a bit small for the couch, but not a great deal. The only other problem it has is the middle is a dojo and it has platforms for the TMNT figures. Those get in the way a lot, but there's so much room that it's just more on an annoyance. There's a lot of empty room to fill with fun stuff. Also, the Ulimate Black Pearl playset from the Pirates of the Caribbean line is great. The thing is huge and opens up everywhere including a lower deck, the captain's cabin, and a jail. The captian's cabin is empty, but accessable. There's a lot of neat usable action features too. Shipwreak could have a lot of fun with this. 1st pic: Lair with my "Joes" (The Organ and the Jukebox are from different things as well as a ton of Joe/Marauders added to fill space) 2nd pic: Black Pearl in current display. Also features the Sarlacc Pit and Skit from Star Wars. Also fun stuff. 3rd pic: Black Pearl opened (not the best picture). Last edited by Blade Raider; 08-14-2009 at 01:32 AM.. |

I bought the last Indiana Jones Aktor Temple with Indy and a Warrior figure. I noticed the base resembles a volcanic like look I took boulders out from the trap hole where they shoot out and put a giant missile on top gonna make it into a post-Missile HQ based on cardboard 82 version
