Valerobots does astonishing custom repaints of vehicles and creates trippy vehicles of his own, and his prices are insanely affordable.

Around Christmas, for the last couple of years, Costco gets a huge stack of Maisto 1:18 vehicles. They are true to scale and joes don't fit very well without some modding but they are metal and run about 13 bucks. Depends what you want them for and what you intend to do. Goodwill and places like often have things like tonka, nylint, or plastic vehicles. 1:18 vehicles is a broad category-diecast models, action figure vehicles, tonka type vehicles, cheap plastic cars. Also, places like TJ Maxx, I bought a Bruder Land Rover. They are actually 1:16 but are a great base to build a custom from.

I'm going to do a photo shoot tomorrow of all of the new Joe stuff on my diorama. I've got a few of those Maisto vehicles on it now, and I assume a few will remain. I'm going to pass the pics along, so you might see them somewhere official. If not, I'll post them on my novels' Facebook page, Bill Nedrow's G.I. Joe novel, in a day or two if you want to see how they look.

Damn, those Fantastic Four pieces would be a cool backdrop for my Mez-Itz Dick Tracy figures. Might have to pursue them.
