Yeah, Cutter and Leatherneck were probably the BIGGEST disappointment of them all... Serpentor was pretty off, but I always hated that guy anyways... The DVD version is close enough for me. I don't even own an opened Crankcase or Steeler, although I want one of each... I'll have to fix the Steeler, Crankcase looks close enough not to bug me.
I'm tired of having to buy TF Dukes to fix arms on all those figures that they really screwed up... That alone is irritating without all their other goofs. Leatherneck would have been decent had they just released his classic colors, and not had those Duke arms. I still think Breaker could have used Clutch's head and not needed that silly chin-strap-dusting-of-a-beard. All yours are vast improvements. Good thing I don't care enough about Shortfuze, Grunt, Skyduster or PP Copperhead, or I'd do the same things to mine too. Luckily, I don't care enough for the characters, so I'm leaving them alone. I dig Leatherneck the best. It's quite an undertaking, basically the entire figure needs extensive reworking/painting. Enough so I'm not even going to tackle fixing him other than putting fixed Duke arms on him. Stupid Mission Brazil colors... |

Great job on the "fixes". I agree Hasbro could have done a better job getting these closer to the originals.

I totally agree with Serpy and Copperhead. I have the similar work lined up for Serpy and I have someone that will do what you did on Copperhead just waiting to grab one.

Nice work! About the Flint that you were going to fix though, I did the same thing using a Tiger Force. First time I painted it it was pretty true to the one in the TV show... but I didn't really like it. Then I just painted his shirt and beret a bit lighter green than he has in the show and I love it. I'll post a pic if I can ever force myself to get up... it could be days... weeks.

Here is the Flint I mentioned... Unless you want a spitting image of him from ARAH, I highly recommend this idea.
