I've started to customize some 25th figs, but I can't figure out how to get the torso to separate? I've copied the breakdown chart but it says to use a "hammer"??
Obviously I don't want to break the figure trying to get him apart. Does anyone know the best way to do this? Also I'm not really understanding the "hot water" thing with the arms and legs? How does hot water help? |

Hot water helps soften up the plastic so you can pull the arm plug on the lower arm out of the hole on the upper arm (I've done it without water and it still works, it's just a bit harder)
As for the torso I decided to use an exacto knife and cut into the seam (Out of the way, under the arm) Then I use a small flat tipped screwdriver to crack open the torso |

For some reason I just can't get the torso to split! I've exacto knived the seam and tried to pry it apart to no avail. Is Gung ho tougher to do this on than the others? Maybe that's it....
Thanks for the tip though! |

don't worry about breaking it, they are just glued together. get a small screwdriver, pry it between the seems, and hammer at it. sure, you are going to end up with a little damage to the parts because they don't just screw apart, but the design of these figures doesn't allow you to keep flawless parts when customizing them, so you are going to have to accept the damage or not customize them at. the point is -- hammer away!
