Questions Painting blonde hair?

Need to paint some hair on some figures heads from natural blonde to a sandy / brown blonde.

What's the best way to do it? Is it just as simple as mixing some yellow w/ enough brown till you get where you want, or is it better to start w/ yellow and dry brush in the brown, or something else?

Again, a natural blonde, and a sandy brown blonde, no bleach blondes need apply thank you.

On the blonde head I paint in the light brown streaks, then once I have that, cover a few with my blonde color after its dry so the colors are separate and layered.

Trial and error man, try it on something else first.

What base color are you starting with to get the blonde color in the first place?

Try a base coat with a darker tan like British Tan. Then dry brush a desert sand color over.

Get Stop Light Yellow by testors...its got that Lady Gaga "pop"...
