Hopefully others will add to this & it gets stickied.
HISS Disassembly Guide 1) Rotate turret to position shown & pull out. 2)Peer inside the open cavity towards the back of the tank & locate the two dark grey tabs. These hold the tracks on. Place a large screwdriver between the tabs & the back of the tank. Pry the handle of the screwdriver towards the nose of the tank. This should release the tracks from the rest of the tank. 3) Wedge screwdriver into the joint at the back of the tank. Pry carefully until the joint releases. 4) Locate the two oddly designed tabs under the nose of the tank. Insert the screwdriver into the tabs as shown & pivot the handle towards the tail of the tank until the tabs pop. This releases the bottom of the tank from the top.

5)Unscrew the screw under the console on the turret. Pry up. Use flat screwdriver to unpry tab at the other end of the console.
That's pretty much it. The canopy is easy to remove & the track assembly unassembles itself when removed from the rest of the tank.

It's amazing that it is only 11 peices of plastic and one screw.
And the design held up so well in 25 years. |
