As a result of some trading, I have 2 HISS tanks that no longer have their turrets. I had this crazy idea of attaching the weather dominator to one of them, and was wondering how I would go about opening up a tank in a manner that wouldn't break anything.
Any suggestions? |

I don't have the Weather Dominator yet, but I don't know why you'd necessarily need to bust a HISS open - I'd consider building an "adapter" out of wood or styrene or the lid to a jar that's the right size. Slap your lid over the turret's mounting point, strap the WD on with twist ties and staples and whatnot (just gussy them up with bitz so it looks like wiring and rivets & etc.) and go to town.

so basically aim the guns turrets to the rear of the tank. the whole gun turret will pop out with a firm snug.

push the tab in at the back foot stand and down, the rear portion should seperate. take a flat head screw driver and stick it in the slots underneath the front where the top have snaps in and gently pry those till the top portion snaps loose and your done. it's actually very easy and when done right will not mar or break anything. i've taken apart half a dozen or more so far. it's not as easy as the striker or vamp but not difficult either.
i need help with sperating the mms... it's fused plastic or some damn good glue.

Thanks, arch.
Yeah, the turrets are already out - another customizer needed them. I ended up with tanks without guns. Upon grabbing a weather dominator, I decided it would look pretty damn stupid on top a HISS so I'm scrapping the project. |
