I want to paint some letters on the chest of a custom figure...and I have NEVER tried this before.
Any tips? Or any alternate ideas for getting this done? Basically I want to add the same sort of SAS logo on Hunter has on his chest... YOJOE.COM | Hunter (UK/Europe) on the ROC Reactive Armor body.....yes I'm going for a Hunter update. |

I would use waterslide decal paper. you create the picture you want and then print it onto the paper. It looks great, but it is kind of fragile, so I wouldn't give it to a kid.

They are pretty basic letters so I think if you go slow and steady you will do fine, have faith in your ability's.

I learned this from some customizing website years ago (I forget what site)
Take a toothpick. Shave down the tip to a wedge shape. Use the toothpick to write the letters n like if you were using a quill pen |

woodland scenics makes a ton of dry transfer letter decals for trainsets. you can usually find them at your local hobby shop.
I found some that are a nice yellow in the armed forces font that I used for my outback custom. |

Some last minute advice in case you haven't started yet. For yellow letters you should paint them on in white first, then go back over the white with yellow. It will be much brighter and won't take near as many coats.
Also, dont worry about the black stripes through the middle of each letter as you paint them on. Just paint the entire letter as one shape, then go back with black and paint the stripes over the top. As your doing this you can also use the black to neaten up the edges of the letters as needed. |

well if you look up my Z force customs here I hand painted the Z force logo with a tiny brush doing the out line first and then painting in the block parts. to I know a lot of folks seem to get decals of some sort for these customs
