25th parts & third-party parts are fair game. Try to avoid sculpting & cannibalizing older Joes. Are any of those 4 inch sports figs in Wal-Mart next to the Tech Deck a good sunglasses source?

well I dunno If you saw it but Id like to think this body is this most accurate that Ive pieced together:
For slaughter though, I donk think there is a way around sculpting. That hat and the head have to come from somewhere. The legs are thick and tall, giving him height. And the arms are buff all the way around. Technically though Sarge didnt have gloves. I may cast these hands in fleshtone and make a wrist band. Last edited by Dark 5cythe; 07-11-2008 at 12:17 AM.. |

I like the legs better on v2 & the crotch better on v1, but I have a feeling the only thing that would be different no matter which the builder intended would be the paint apps.

The A's were Henderson's first and favorite team, so much so that he returned three times and wanted to return a fourth so he could retire in green and gold.

well, i recently discovered, that either version you do, the Serpentor thighs are the most accurate...not only that but they are also quite muscular...as for the boots, v1 gets what hasbro gave him Destros or some bashed/modded wrestling type lower legs from a build and brawl fig...v2 sarge lowers can be made using troopers, dukes, firefly, v2 hawk, v1 SE....etc...upper torso and upper arms for either version, copperhead so that no skin has to be painted...lower arms can be copperhead, Shippy or Bazooka...head, Gung-Ho, hat removed and replaced with either v5 wild bill or one from Alyosha (the best)...glasses, make em or cut from a 5 pack recue fig from TRU

Your version is easily the best I've seen so far. Say, why did you choose Bazooka's forearms over Shipwreck/Spirit's? I'd really like to see how they look on him.

I have really resisted doing this figure. I would definitely do one now, but only if I could get Alyosha's Hat/whistle/baton kit. That would seal the deal for me.

most importantly to me, is accuracy, i don't know why, guess i'm a perfectionist...i even went as far as to try and paint the cammo as close as i could to the OG fig...with that said, my v1 uses the Shippy forearms with arm bands modded on, and they look good too...but the original v2 Sarge has no gloves but has wrist bands (see above pic) and thats exactly how Bazookas forearms are, not to mention they are more scaled to the beefy copperhead upper arm...the only small prob with using them is they a bit ape-ish, but it works, as Sarge is so big anyhow...
