how to paint entire figure white without paint rubbing off

I have a black widow figure I want to paint a silvery white to make Moonstone... Is there a way to do this that wont rub off every time I move a joint? can the whole figure be dyed instead of painting? not sure how to go about this (or which paint to use even)... any help would be appreciated!

I think the best way would be to take the figure apart and dremel and sand the joints before painting.

You really can't dye to a lighter color, you can maybe fade it to a lighter hue, but that's about it....

I think you're gonna have to paint...

Take apart the entire figure, and sand the joints. No way around it really. You will get great results this way.

Not in the color you're trying to use, only dark(er) colors can be used for dying.
