How do I remove Hasbro's original paint job?
I wanna repaint my TF Flint, and if his legs are molded in brown anyway, is there anyway to remove the paint? |

WARNING!!!!! I have used finger nail polish remover on several figures with great results, including some Hasbro stuff, but DO NOT USE IT ON FLINT! I made that mistake on mine...had the same idea as you, saw they were brown... but they frakkin' melted! Try rubbing alcohol.

Try easy off:
Remove any metal, then spray him down with Easy Off oven cleaner. You can take your time because it won't affect the plastic. I use this to strip bad Paint jobs down to the bare plastic on model cars. The Tampos come off quick, but the paint takes a bit of a soak. Wear gloves and keep it off your skin. When you want to check your work, flush the piece with fresh water. Give it a little scrub to remove any loosened paint, dry and repeat untill you are satisfied. |

I've always just used light sand paper or in the case of removing beards, an exacto knife and a lot of patience & scraping

I use spray primer. This way you get a nice white color base to re-apply paint.

I have a similar situation--I want to remove the paint on Bludd's stomach. |
