I don't think I've posted about the CASE Files here as of yet so I'd like to enlighten those of you about it who sell your custom figures. It stands for Customizer Auction Sales on Ebay and is basically like one of those 'webrings' of customizers but works off of a central hub hosted by me. You don't need a site, all you need is to have auctions on EBay selling your customs. It started a long time ago when I was asked to come up with something to help all the other customizers selling their figures on EBay like I was. After a while I thought, hey, there's got to be a way to link everyone to me and share my exposure. Heck, why not link everyone to everyone else as well? And the Case Files page was born!
CASE Files It works like this: I add your name and EBay link (and web page if you have one) to the Case files hub page. You add a link to your auctions via a little banner or text that links to the Case files hub page. That way anyone that clicks the link on your auction will see the list of all the other customizers out there. That includes you too! Your auctions will be seen by tons of people as well clicking on other customizer's case files links. It's suggested you put a Case Files link on your webpage too, the more exposure you give the Case Files, the more exposure it gives you! There's a basic set of rules to follow called the CASE Code of Conduct. Basically it's treat other customizers with respect, keep your customs decent, no excessive nudity, gore, (zombies are cool of course), and follow the EBay rules. Publishers such as ToyFare Magazine look up customizers daily using this list, toy company reps check it out, all the major buyers of custom figures know the page. You are guaranteed to get more hits to your auctions, better sales, and best of all it's FREE. There's no catch, no fee, I don't even send you a Newsletter (tho it's been said I should). I host the CASE files soley to help other customizers gain recognition and keep the hobby growing. My gift to all of you along with the guides, tips, and tutorials I post. Want to join? Send me an email to [email protected] with: A. a link to one of your custom auctions, current or ended. B. the name you'd like to use. Like Bossman's Customs or Jenny's Wonderful Figures. Read the CoC and that's it, you're in! I update the Case files all the time and will eventually include EBay guides and tips for customizers selling their work. The Case Files is a joint effort and everyone who's interested is invited. Doesn't matter if your selling Transformers customs, Marvel Legends customs, or dioramas. So drop me a line and let's get your name out there! And if you're one of the people buying custom figures, the CASE FILES is the place to find them all! |
