Ha! Now that's a compliment! Thanks for asking. Currently I have a few Cobra vehicle WIPS on the burner as well as an idea for Cover Girl if I can ever get my hands on another Lady Jaye (shameless plug to anyone who wants to sell me one). My Cobra Squad is always growing ... What I really want to start working on are original supporting characters and accessories. One of the things that bugged me about the GI Joe of the later comic series and especially the cartoon was that it became a vendetta between Joe ad Cobra as opposed to Cobra trying to take over the world through terror and Joe fighting to stop them. I like the early days, when Cobra would kidnap a scienist or a politician or try to steal a nuke or fund a fanatical post apocolyptic survival camp. So... that having been said I'd like to create mission based acessory sets that include objectives that the joes and Cobra forces can battle over like the "captured Russian nucleur warhead" set complete with warhead, crate, and tow set or the "downed satelite" set complete with damaged satelite, etc. Also, I've mentioned in other posts that Alyosha's new 25th compatible heads would be perfect for scientist and/ or politician figures for Cobra to kidnap and the new Indiana Jones Henry Jones Senior figure would make a great base for said figures. Anyway, there's plenty for the future, but there are immediate vehicles on the way from Cobra which are mostly Chap Mei conversions into more realistic vehicles. I can't wait to share them!
Thanks again for the interest!

Thanks, I definately will. HMMMMM... I just realized- your a Viper from SPRINGFIELD, MO. Now that's a little too coincidental . You must have been all over that as a kid! I grew up in Brooklyn, NY just a hop, skip, and a jump (and a trip over the Verrazanno Narrows bridge) from Staten Island where we would always pass signs for Fort Wadsworth- I always thought that was the coolest!

Miked,
Here is a pic of a Grunt that I did using your model. I carved out the hips for more articulation as well as the elbow joints. I took your idea and put gloves on him, not sure about my color choice. What do you think. Also, I gave him a repainted Gung Ho pack back. The head is the Grunt head with his beard sanded off. I would love to get a cast of the head you used. Please tell me what you think. Once again, your customs are by far some of the best that I have seen. |

YOW! Yes a nod like that from the great Alyosha is quite a compliment indeed! And as per this post it looks like that very Grunt head is going to be cast by the man himself and available for sale at his awesome site! I can't tell you how excited I am to contribute to this hobby in that way! Thanks Aly!
Also, you really cannot appreciate the quality of Aly's casts until painted. They are truly exquisite. Smooth and professional. Paint that sucker up and stick it on your Duke- It's a perfect fit and you'll sit and stare at it for hours because it looks so COOL. Thanks for the compliment! This kind of feedback keeps us coming back for more!
