Although he came out in '91, Big Ben is one of those Joes that I've always felt just fit in with the 80's Joes. He was unfortunate enough to get lumped in with some of the more ghastly neon fighters and to be brought to life in DiC instead of Sunbow glory. While the original figure was never classified as an arctic fighter, he just kind of has that look to him to me, so I've included him in my Arctic Joe squad.

Love it man! Awesome head sculpt and awesome paint apps on it. Great recipe on this figure too.
Dude, you're making me realize just how far behind I am on my projects. lol... All of the customs you've posted in the past few days are top-notch. I always thought of him as an Arctic trooper as well. Maybe it's the hat. |

I always thought of him as an Arctic trooper as well. Maybe it's the hat. It's definitely the hat, but the heavier coat sort of as well. I mean, they reused his original torso for the Kwinn ARAH figure, so there's something to it. Not just us. Quote:

That's not actually the SDS Iceberg head. It's a cast of their Frostbite head's hat, modded onto a Star Wars figure. I did this one prior to the Iceberg being released by Slayer, and I preferred the Star Wars face because it was a little closer to the card art. I may try out their head one of these days though. It's still nice. |
