So just curious, what do you recommend for the card itself? Just a reused existing card, or some type of card stock? Also, do you just use like an Ultra Premium glossy paper? What do you apply it with? BTW these look amazing...

OH &$#%...That's is cool brother Wyo. I totally dig the idea of halving the cobra symbol on the back of the cards to play on the fact that Tomax/Xamot are twins; and they're not complete without each other. Nice work Wyo! The Art Repro is way too cool considering what you had to work with =).

Hey Guys. Thanks again. The cards themselves are photopaper glued to cardstock. I prefer satin photopaper....glossy is to shiny and matte is too dull. Satin paper costs more but gives the best effect in my opinion.
The hardest part of the process is obviously the computer work....I mostly work in photoshop but use illustrator as well for some parts. These cards are a lot of fun to make, but sometimes challenging. I have to admit, Im a bit of a perfectionist....and it gets frustrating sometimes when I print something out, spend hours putting it together, then notice a mistake Ive made! Sometimes I get lucky though and they come together smoothly. Anyways, I used to recommend Dutch Rednecks FAQ on how to make these cards (as far as the physical process)....but he took it down for whatever reason. I adapted my style from his process. I will try and put one together this summer...if somebody doesnt beat me to it. Thanks again for the feedback! Sam |
