I've been tinkering around and customizing Joes since I was a kid, so when I started collecting the 25th Ann./ME line, it was only a matter of time that I'd do the same. Here's some customs, simple repaints, and some that I just renamed/reimagined into new characters:
The original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton- This was a SRO Hawk with an Ep.3 Obi Wan head popped on. I had to do the hot glue trick to get the head to fit properly, and slightly repainted his hair. I always liked his appearance in the Marvel comics and this figure was inspired by his look in them. DDP Shipwreck- I like the classic look of sailor Shipwreck as much as the next guy, but really dug his updated outfit from the DDP comics. Head- ROC Shipwreck Torso/arms- Wave 13 Firefly Legs- ROC Tunnel Rat Cobra Radio Officer- I always liked this guy from #1 of the Marvel comic, he was a nice change from the standard Cobra Soldiers. He's just the Cobra Paratrooper from the Best of the 80s DVD pack with some custom built headphones and a donor belt, can't remember from who. Dr. Venom- Like most old school ARAH fans, I always wanted a Dr. Venom. I actually made this one before I saw the Collector Club/AT Dr. Venom (which I doubt I'll be able to afford anyway). He's more of a modern reinterpretation. Head/hands- SW Comic Packs Tarkin Torso/arms- ROC Storm Shadow Legs/giant hypodermic needle gun thing- ROC Cobra Commander More to come later! Cobra Laser-Viper- I really liked the look of ROC Flash, but it just wasn't Flash....the 25th vintage style is all the Flash I need. So, I popped on a Pit Commando helmet, painted the visor red, put a cobra symbol sticker on the shoulder, and gave him Pilot Destro's backpack, and a modern Laser-Viper was born. Cobra Urban Assault Trooper- I guess he serves the same purpose as an Alley Viper, but I really prefer the early Cobra costume designs. Head- Cobra Soldier (the extra one that came with Cobra Disguise Flint) Body/accessories- TRU exclusive ROC Firefly, with some painted blue camo |

Blood Red- The back story on this guy is that he's Tomax and Xamot's personal bodyguard and assassin. He's another figure who I really liked the look of, but since he wasn't in the movie, I just renamed him and gave him some different weapons. Mutt in Cobra Disguise- Yeah, I know, everyone's done him, but it was pretty simple and cheap to do. |

ROC Jinx (or is it Scarlett?)- Simple parts swap from some leftovers. That's the TRU ROC Firefly head repainted on a ROC Scarlett body. Gaucho and Glenda- Some Joes from other lands....I just wanted to add some variety to the ranks. Gaucho- Head- WM exclusive ROC Gung-Ho everything else- WM exclusive Monkey Wrench Glenda- Head- Helix everything else/bacpack- Skydiving Scarlett tiny grenade on chest- BBI weapons/accessory pack rifle- ROC Flash |

Fast-Draw- I'd really like to get a better missile system for him, but this is what he's working with for now. Helmet- Pit Commando Rocket Launcher- some ROC figure Everything else- SRO Deep Six Topside- I posted this guy once in another thread...I think he's one of the better looking post '87 Joes. Head- Blonde TRU Green Shirt Body- Skyduster vest- SRO Cutter helmet- Pit Commando rifle- can't remember Comic style Gen. Hawk- Nothing too exciting, but I had the extra body from the 5 pack and the extra head from the SRO pack, so I decided to make a blonde Hawk as he appeared in the Marvel comics. |

Great job on all of them! My favorite one is Fast Draw. He was always one of my favorite characters as a kid.
