Picked up a few cobra statues. I want to build a large castle / temple. Sunbow always had cobra bases with the snake present. Wondering if you Tankers could throw in some ideas on how I could make this work. Yes its going to take up alot of space but I want to go forward with this. I could build up a large base out of paper mache and place the cobras strategically throughout to make a large head quarters. Throw me some feedback. Thank you.

i found a cute snake head toy in a toy store where there's a lever you have to pull and the snake head opens.Been toying with the idea of using it at the top of a cobra base i 'm planning to build. or maybe i';; just fix it atop a cobra commander throne and the story'll be like it has hidden weapons and poison mist which the commander activates to kill his adversaries. dunno wot do u guys think?

I'm currently sculpting, yes sculpting, an in-scale castle greyskull for use with my MOTUC figures, so I know the level of project you are undertaking. Good luck to you.
Here's my tips first, #1. you need to visually conceptualize what scale/and dimensions this thing will be. #2.Hammer out the cost and time it'll take you, ball park figure. cheapest materials are of course paper mache and card board, when getting into plexi and clay and stone and glass things get pricey, trust me I know. #3. Figure out what other accessories you will need besides all those snakes. #4.Draw a rough sketch of what you'd like this temple and in what style you'd like it to look like. i.e., a Myan temple, an eygptian pyramid, a ancient Muslim Mosque? Anything temple like will do I'm sure, but you need to decide what look is right for your specific project. #5. Watch some old cartoons for inspiration, along with the history channel. Maybe go to the library and look through ancient architecture books. #6.write out a materials list. #7. Make a work space for this, and protect it from weather, and children, pets, and ....at times wives. #8. Don't stress about it, there is no time frame, it's a new hobby/project it should be fun. Those are the basics, for now. PM me and let me know about progress a month from now. I'd show people my progress with the castle, but I don't believe in digital camera's unless it's the$1300 nikon kind. |
