I finished this for the Slaughterhouse contest a while back after getting started during the obscure comic character contest after having the idea for a while because it was too dumb NOT to do.
This here is the the lovely Candy Appel dressed as her alter-ego Bongo the Balloon Bear, for her profession and to give Ripcord confused feelings in his heart and pants. I kept her pretty bulky, as she should be, rather than the disturbingly curvaceous way that she was drawn after she was revealed to be a woman. The body is mostly a Chewbacca with the bandolier removed, the head cut off so a segment of the chest could be removed(he's got a strange assembly), and excess fur trimmed. Chunks of the limbs were cut out, and the limbs glued and sculpted since Chewie is lanky and probably 5" tall or more. The Bongo head is a PVC Panda's that's been cut off, hollowed out and mostly resculpted, and the bear hands are Rex gloves with sculpted fur. Head is Cover Girl with some plastic surgery(PLASTIC! HahaHA!) with a hobby knife. The balloons, hat, and her hair are sculpted, then the entire thing painted, etc. And that's how you make another crazy piece of Joe history. Good work, always nice to see old familiar classics from the original comic.
