ok i figured this would help out a lot of ppl, now some use denatured alc, some use nail polish remover, and some use paint thinner like myself. BUT, i found the most easiest and less harmful way of doing so. a few years back i was at a promo show for paint products, and recieved a free sample of this solvent remover. well it sat in a cabinet for many years, due to not really needing to try or use it on anything since i use paint thinner for a living.
anyway, the other day i had to paint some shelves, and it had barcode stickers on the wood, so i was like i'll try that crap real fast, well it worked great. that's when it hit me, try it on joes. well i just did on roc zartans face using a toothpick, for accuracy. it removed the paint in seconds, no elbow grease, nothing, nothing like i have had to do in the past with other materials. the companies name is orange-sol, the product is de-solv-it. the version i used is the professional grade. here's a link to the company so you can research it. i figured this will help out a lot of folks here. ORANGE-SOL: The Founder of Citrus-Based Cleaning Technology, De-Solv-it®, and Safer Cleaning Solutions. and mods the only reason i made this a thread and not add it to the customs tutoral, is the fact of the info being burried and lost. but if you must, then do your job and move it, i won't be upset. but this is some sick stuff, and works better then any solvent based material where you can chance ruining the plastic. |

I use Goof off which works great. Just don't breathe it...or touch it. And wash the parts right away. If this stuff is better than that I'll definitely give it a shot. Thanks.

Just don't inhale that shit or get it on your skin.
***Don't be fooled...this stuff aint safe like they market it to be. D-Limonene(the main ingredient in citrus solvents) is a VOC(Volitile Organic Compound) and has been banned in Europe for 15+ years now as it is a suspected carcinogen. d-Limonene (CASRN 5989-27-5) | IRIS | US EPA Remember, it IS a solvent(and it's flammable) and it can damage plastic. As far as safety goes nothing beats rubbing alc, as it is meant to be rubbed into your skin.

Thanks, you're the man!
I used acetone for BenchPress/Slaughter to avoid buying two figures for the knee & arm switch, which worked well, but it can lead to smearing and probably eat the plastic if you're not careful. If this stuff can be used precisely, it may be great for cleaning up sloppy factory paint, rather than scraping with an X-acto as I've done. |

you have to watch solvents, they can ruin your skin, bad to inhale with out proper ventilation, and can ruin things that you are trying it on. and all solvent based material is highly flamable. this is by far a safer approach.. as the others are labled danger. |

Hasbro or Paramount should reimburse us for the cost of having to remove those godawful "logos" on everything. How silly for an elite, secretive government-issue squad to even have a logo in the first place.
