Despite the RoC game being less than stellar gameplay-wise, it had some great designs for troops and vehicles. One of my favorite new designs was that of the Serpent Armor, which really puts the SNAKE to shame. Here's a picture for those unfamiliar with it:
I decided to give it a shot. The pieces came together pretty easily. Take a look at the main body of that thing and try to tell me that the designer didn't have an Ironman movie Iron Monger sitting next to him while he made it. And yes, I know I switched which side had which arm attachment. I also added some color, since the game version had a pretty uninspired pallet. Unfortunately, it does not hold figures. I hollowed out the Monger and still not enough room. I know Jin Saotome made it work, but I've read his description a dozen time and still can't understand what he did. Something about making the legs removable. Probably beyond me. Parts: Main body: Iron Monger Head: Target Serpent Armor Claw hand: Dr. Rex Gun hand: Random ROC launcher |

I like it the SNAKE armors always been one of my favorites as a kid, and i've alays been amazed they've never done like an updated modern version as a toy, it just seems so obvious. It's cool to see it done.

That's a cool rendition, kind of gritty. I like it.

Wow!
Now that is something that was way down on my to-do list. I thought it would be pretty impossible, but you proved me wrong. That is pretty accurate! I played through that whole crummy game to get peeks at the cool designs, I'm glad to see one come to life! |
