Snake Eyes was the first GI Joe Figure I ever owned, and the reason I got into collecting GI Joe. When the 1985 version came out I remember very clearly seeing him for the first time that September at Kmart in Albany, GA. I begged my stepmom to buy it or put it on layaway or something! I finally did get him for Christmas that year. It was the holy grail of action figures during my childhood. Since Hasbro has come out with the 25th anniversary/modern GI Joe line I’ve made several Snake Eyes customs, but so far I think one is more accurate to the 1985 version than all the others.
He’s based on the 2009 5 Pack Snake Eyes, but I resculpted the visor to look more like the 1985 version. Of course I had to upgrade Hasbro’s neglect to give him a working holster or knife sheath, so I added both in resemblance to the 1985 version. I also removed his odd tube covered bands from around the ankles and added the actual ankle pouches cut from a 1985 Snake Eyes. In addition, I modified his feet to look like Tabi boots. I originally started this one as a trade, but that fell through. So now I have 2 of these so this one is on eBay if you want him. Click Here

Very well done. Never had any intentions of making a SE custom as I own a ton of retail versions, but this is one I would own for sure. All of your additions/updates look awesome! That mask sculpt came out GREAT too! WIN all around for you good sir!
