Some character's figures with permanently masked or helmeted heads are great. Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Vipers etc. I don't feel as though Charbroil is one of them however.
I used the head of one of the Imperial Knights from the Star Wars comic two-pack. I thought the likeness was close enough, I studied an image of the old figure head. Cut off the ponytail. Sanded down the head, then repainted his hair orange, and parted on his left side, to better match the 1988 figure. I had to make it a bit smaller so it would fit in this... I used a chrome/vac metal looking blade from a pinwheel, to give it the same reflective visor look it had originally. Looped it and glued to into the helmet. I also shorted his silly looking long neck Charbroil's old head also found a new home on under the helmet of my Resolute Cobra Commander. Thanks for looking, and please let me know what you think. All I have is my cell phone camera. So sorry if these are little blurry. Last edited by Acidophilus; 11-01-2009 at 08:39 PM.. |
