My buddy challenged me to redesign Scoop so he was more realistic and not at all yellow. I excited to take that on, journalism fascinates me.
I studied news writing in my brief stint with college. Movies like “The Paper”, “Live from Baghdad”, “All the President’s Men”, and so on fuel that fascination. And the 2-part episode of OVER THERE with Zack Morris as the ill-fated embedded journalist with that unit is the best of that short-lived series. That’s the approach I took with Scoop, he’s NOT military and certainly not a member of GIJoe; he’s employed by a high profile worldwide news service, assigned to work with the Joes and find out what makes the hardest core, best operatives in the world tick. |

Really nice work. Beats the heck out of the original.

There's a line of motocross bikes with 3 3/4" tall riders in the toy car aisle of Walmart and Target, his head was off one of those figures. I got it quite some time ago but the toyline is still active and some of the same riders are still shipping so it's possible the one Scoop's head might be.

I like it when the civilians get Joe-d. I think that the Joe team needs more Joe civie support in its ranks. That is a great idea for the photo journalist from the major news network. Great angle.
