Hi All,
Just want to show my first official mod. It's my first time doing this so please be gentle. Didn't quite turn out how I imagined it, but hope you guys like it. Recipe: Body: ROC Heavy Duty Head: Cobra Commander and heavy sculpting with Epoxy Clay. Might need to do a V2 in the future. I kind of bit off more than I can chew here... hehehe!

While the idea is good, the head appears a bit cartoonish. I would suggest using a Resolute Roadblock head. On a side note, the head would make a good Miles Mayhem from MASK with a repaint. Not a bad sculpting job. Just keep practicing and you will get better.

Agree on all points. It was a great learning experience for me though. I really found a lot of problems when I started painting and maybe rushed into it. I think there was also a lack of research for really good sculpting techniques.

Okay, I was a bit obsessing about this yesterday and thought that I give it a shot today... so, here's the v2.
I took out the brow part from the previous one and moved everything a bit lower to the nose. I also removed the detailed brow because I felt that that might've made it looked like a cartoon. It's still looks like a cartoon though, but I'm pretty much satisfied with this... I'll be moving on from here and will keep on practicing sculpting. (It's so much fun!!!)

Like you said it was a good learning experience. And there is something really neat about it.

Wow, dude, good results for your first try... On the first head, yeah it looks a little cartoonish (okay, a lot really) but it has good, well defned features. The proportions work great, and on its own, the head looks awesome. Heck, even with the body, it looks great. Sorta Sigma Six looking. I've personally tried sculpting lots of heads, and they just look loke blobs with eye sockets. Yours definitely looks like a head.
For the second one though... I don't know, I'm just not feeling it... But good job all around, man!
