Customizing Obsession Round 3: Yo Joe!

This is more custom Joes. Customizing has pretty much made a hole in my wallet, but I think it's worth it to be able to make some Joes who aren't getting their time in the lime light.

Any who, I'm so P.O.ed about Dial-Tone now being a girl. No disrespect to the opposite sex, but don't use a pre-exiting character and do that. How's Dial-tone going to explain it to his parents Hasbro? Name her Ring-Tone next time.

Worked on Repeater before I saw he was coming out in box set, but the box set version makes me happy I did. With Footloose, Repeater, and Law & Order finally making it into the Joe line, it's so bitter sweet that they all have on the same uniform instead of their classic threads.

Low-Light was my favorite to work on because he was a bunch of odds and ends I didn't think were going to make this figure, but in the end it kind of did. Jinx popped up out of the blue. Wasn't planning on making her until I realized ROC Snake Eyes back makes for a good dual sword wielding pack. And yes, Wet Suit's head is Serpentor's original mugg. All I'm saying is that with a little Green Stuff, it can make a big difference. Only thing new on Tunnel Rat are his painted eyes, and his custom flashlight back pack that Hasbro left out (more of a mod than a custom).

P.S. Law is finished, but I'm on the lookout for a Order figure. Steel Brigade is on the way too.

I used the same recipe for my Dial-Tone, but I tried to free hand paint the emblem on this left arm so it looks like like crap. How did you do yours? Printed label?

A printed label. It was a little blurry, but still sharp.

Those look great. Loving the more complex customs as well as the simpler mods.

Question on the Wet-Suit... Hasbro didn't include the flashlight, is the flashlight a vintage one with the new pack and sled, or are they all 3 vintage?

The reason I ask, is I am OCD and want the flashlight, but like that the new ones are a crisp color and I already matched the Flash helmet to match them. I want to get the flashlight to "complete" him, but wondered if the color was the same? (Dial-Tone's old gear isn't the same color as the new "Dataframe" gun, for example... is why I ask.)
