Those are some great looking figures, as you and Hit & Run have shown that German body does work well for Cobra Commander.
I purchased one of the red German bodies to try a Crimson Guard (I bought on Jun 16th so should be shipping soon). Whilst I have been waiting I have been looking for an Operation Crimson Sabotage figure to give him a removable helmet (hoping it would fit on a Marauder head), but having seen your figures the 25th heads work really well. You have also reminded me I need to order the CG arm logos. |

*Bows* Thank you, thank you, too kind!
Thanks, I liked the look of your Battle Corps Commander, too. I do want to see if the Ultimate CC hooded head can fit on this build; the figure had an odd neck construction that required me to dremel out the head, and the hooded one had a fairly long neck. It would be nice if it can though. The nice thing about the CGs was that the heads snapped right on. The backpacks were another story though; their pegs were too big and they snapped off very easily, so I glued them to the figures backs instead. Surprised the 25th Crimson Guard heads snapped on easily so that’s good to know, the WW2 pegs seem on the larger size, think that’s another reason I didn’t go too far with a battle mask Commander, saw some rub when I put one on a WW2 peg and got worried that I’d crack the head.

I used a cast of the Ultimate hooded head and it fits pretty well, mine don’t quite snap on but they stay on and sit right. A quick hit with a dremel and you could probably snap it in perfectly.

And I was somewhat worried with the head cracking, since I noticed it happened to a Viper head that was a nightmare to fix (glue on the tip of an X-acto knife in the slit, running diagonally down the whole surface...oof). I was more worried by trying to fit it onto the neck before dremelling it though; the dremelling went fine, and I cleared it out enough that it would sit firmly in certain positions, but in others it gets a little wobbly. Thanks! |

Here's my Hazard-Viper. I did this one just before CC. This was a build where I just tried to take the various elements of the figure and recreate them in spirit with MTF stuff. I would have loved to work the big hazmat hood and mask in, but I eventually want multiples and I only had the one figure. The hood is also just purpose-built to lock with the neck ring, so I settled on the breather head. The paint on the grenades is Electric Blue, same as on CC since it was convenient to paint them both at the same time, and the emblem is once again from Bad Mother. Not much else to say, besides that I use these in place of the Toxo-Vipers since I like the colors and design better, and that I might make something like the Club's Labrats to assist them eventually.
Edit: Joe Laser gun came as the freebie, and I figured it looked a bit like a gas-gun or something, so I rolled with it. Next up will (probably) be a Joe. Thanks for looking! Last edited by GarterSnake788; 07-14-2020 at 10:13 PM.. |

Now that Hazard Viper I can get behind. I hated the bulky one Hasbro gave us. This one has better mobility and can probably actually fit in a vehicle if you needed him to.

I missed the first post but fucking outstanding work! I have had CC from the German build in the works for a while but this is way better than I envisioned. I was so impressed I went and ordered that color paint so I could make my own.
I can’t wait to see what else you show us.

Man that is one of the best compliments you can give a fellow customizer. I’m honored and humbled. To be honest, RV88 got me hooked on Vallejo cause I was a Tamiya guy and I’m so glad I made the switch. I can’t wait to see more of your work and I’m still fairly new to Vallejo compared to some of these guys but if you ever have any questions or just want to shoot the shit about customs, pm me.

Cobra Commander and the Crimson Guardsmen all look fantastic! I’m now in the process of ordering the WWII German soldiers to attempt this. Well done!
