Following on from my Action Force thread a new one for the GI Joe characters.
First up their leader Hawk. I never had much interest in v1 as a kid but v2 was such a cool looking figure. The arms are from an Indiana Jones figure, I don't like painting over the shoulder, elbow and knee joints so always try to look for a solution to avoid this. They took some modifying to fit the body but I think does improve the look of it being a jacket. I also sculpted some fur around the collar of the 86 vest to make that look more like a bomber jacket. And the leader of the Oktober Guard, Col Brekhov. This has been done many times since Marauder launched their WW2 wave, although I felt that he needed to be chomping on his trademark cigar. I drilled a small hole in the corner of his mouth, glued in the cigarette that came with the WW2 figures and painted it to look like a cigar.

First up for Cobra is Copperhead as I like how this figure turned out. I am hoping for a tank top torso from the Vietnam kickstarter but until then I modified some BFS arms to fit in the t-shirt torso.

I always liked the idea of Wild Bill as a kid. I am waiting for the wave 2 Dime Novel Legends cavalry officers hat to come out but until then I have used another DNL cowboy hat as I think the GI Joe one is just too small. The holster and guns are also from DNL.

Finally for now Doc. I wanted to use a shirt torso which meant painting a white one (although I do have a tan shirt on pre-order) and then blended the tan on the helmet, legs and arms to match.

Thanks, I was pleased with how Copperhead turned out, I didn't think I was going to be able to make him. The vest on Wild Bill is a cast from Raginspoon called Trailblazer, but it is always sold out when I go look for more.

I like them all but the Copperhead really stands out.
Those BFS arms look great on the MTF T-Shirt torso. I’ll be trying that! The Wild Bill is a nice upgrade over the 25th version. I’m ready for the new DNL head as well.
