"The Dreadnok Razorback is essentially a crudely tricked out Land Rover, reinforced with metal and horns taken from poached animals and roadkill. The vehicle was probably procured in Great Britain or Australia, as the steering wheel is on the right hand side. A heavy machine gun has been mounted on the left hand side, which can be operated and aimed from the passenger seat. But no one really wants to share the vehicle with the huge and terrifying Road Pig (and that's okay with him, he doesn't like company, anyway with the exception of his crush Zarana), so he has rigged the weapon to fire forward and can operate it with simple button on the steering wheel. The Razorback is a fairly small vehicle but there is space in the back for storage, or to transport any unlucky Dreadnok captives."

G.I.Joe comics and cartoons are full of characters and vehicles that were not based on existing toys. Very few of these eventually became toys after being introduced in media. Most of these only showed up once or twice, but others became Joeverse mainstays - the Cobra transport helicopter is one that became ubiquitious in the Marvel comic, and would have made an excellent toy, and I did build one of my own a few years ago. This post apoc/Mad Max style vehicle is a lot more obscure - so much so that many diehard Joe fans will be unaware of it. It's also a vehicle that captured my imagination as soon as I saw it when I picked up a British comic in the '80s. Action Force Monthly, which featured the British version of G.I.Joe had a story based in Australia, outback featuring Joes Outback and Psych-Out versus the Dreadnoks. In addition to the classic Dreadnok Cycle and the Thunder Machine, the Dreadnoks used a vehicle that never hit the toy shelves and was never officially named. But based on the pic on page 12, it is reasonable to assume it was called the Razorback. I'm not aware of other appearances of this Dreadnok ride, and would appreciate if anyone knows of any. http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/comi...037/index.html My MOC is based on the depictions of this vehicle in that comic - and it only shows up in a handful of panels. I've kept it close to the original but changed the metal spikes to horns because Lego doesn't produce any pieces that looked right as metal spikes of the right size. It's a lot smaller than some of my other Dreadnok vehicles but it looks appropriately scary, and imagine it can handle off road driving quite readily. Nice! I was completely unaware of that vehicle. The Roadpig Minifig is a nice touch too.

That ride is rad! Thanks for linking the comic source material. Cool to bring unmade vehicles from the comics to life

Thanks so much, both of you! There are so many non-toy vehicles once you start digging through the archives.
