I like the story, it will be interesting to see where this world go's. I like a more old school format then where most modern comics go but that's just me. I'm mid 40's and grew up reading comics in a different time.
to me I want to read a semi believable world where good guys fight bad guys in every issue with a sub plot mixed in to carry the story along. today everything is 5 issue's of people running their mouths with one issue of a "fight" then on to the next 6 issue's of a story repeating the same thing so that in the end it fills a trade paperback for future sales. but more often then not the thing that will kill a good story for me is the art. i'm not an artist and if I see art that looks like something I can do or better i'm on the edge of picking it up or not. most times not. if its a book I'm reading and the art changes to something I don't like and the story is so so I drop the book. I like a compelling action packed story with people who look like people and not scribbles. but that's just me, i'm old school |
