Intricate projects lately...
Now and again in the past two years I've pondered what could be done with the abundance of SW products on the shelves, leading to musings like these: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...s-weapons.html http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ts-retail.html I wondered for a while what could be done with the kid-friendly Armor Up series. Then I saw the Solo Range Trooper feet and I knew I wanted to make this SNAKE armor. I made that decision before the MTF Exo suits came out, and nearly took that easier road; However, long before I saw anyone else use the Finn Armor Up stormtrooper stuff with the exo suits I had plans for this crazy thing. Couldn't resist the MTF weapons though. The helmet is also modified with an MTF gasmask. Everything else is Star Wars parts, mostly the gizmos that come with the figures. All snaps onto ROC Dr. Rex, who I have reclaimed as a wiry version of Cobra Weapons specialist Scrap Iron, who probably wishes there was something called the Cobra Health and Safety Administration. He has sacrificed for his inventions, especially when they go wrong, leading to a desire to develop a protective suit. Perhaps this is his prototype before the humpty dumpty missile-proof system we all know and love. Last edited by ARBCO Avenue; 06-13-2020 at 01:44 PM.. |

Thanks to one and all for the kind comments, guys. Keeps me goin’ I hope to have more stuff up in the next few weeks. Stay tuned...
Ah, thank you kindly and I’m glad you see it as an improvement. I sure liked the original SNAKE Armor I got in 1983 though. Not only did these oversized blue army men come with articulation and wear cool bad guy masks but you could fit one into an armored suit that vaguely resembled a storm trooper! In ‘83 that was soooo cool! |
