I purchased an incomplete Playmobil firefighter truck on a flea market for R$ 15 (US$ 4) lately. The wheels were replaced by larger front wheels and the tracks and lower part of an incomplete Indiana Jones tank I had bought for R$ 10 (US$ 3) some months ago. The water cannon consists of a Star Wars toy of McDonalds and a hull of a pen as extension. Several other toy parts completed the equipment. The trailer I made of a tank of a pickup scale 1:18 and a scratch-built frame. Unfortunately, as Photobucket limited the number of free pics,I can sho only one photo here. 11 more pictures are on my blog: Dioramas 1:18

Hey, I have that truck! It's for my...granddaughter! Yes, that's it! Seriously, though, cool custom.

I also have a little granddaughter and she loves it to visit our basement where I have some dioramas, a lot of 1:18 die cast cars (I have over 300) and part of my collection of 4,500 action figres on shelves.

It is a pity, of course, that with children's toys and cars, we don't give books where kids could learn to read syllables or letters, and there would be short stories or safety rules. I'd be happy to explain to my child why it is impossible to play with fire, why it is dangerous to pick up matches, and so on. I think it is beneficial for children and adults to know the safety rules. I've been working as a firefighter for more than 10 years, and I know what I'm talking about.

Dude, you mean to tell me that playing with a fire truck doesn't inspire someone to become a firefighter? I still have my favorite Tonka ladder truck( one of my all time favs) and I have all the respect for your profession. And believe you me, I have a healthy respect for fire.
