Not much to say here really that you can't see in the pics.
Decided to use predominately oak for the main building, which makes this one nearly indestructible- I could probably run it over and just suffer paint loss! The terrain itself contractor's foam on an hdf base, with lots of fun stuff added for depth and texture. Fun fact- I nearly tossed ALL of my "photo op" (modern) Joes in the trash today!;) I'm at heart an O ringer, which is why the same few figures appear in all of my pics- the modern molds and increased poseability make them a natural choice for dio photos, and of course I don't want to handle my 30+ year old figures every day. Unfortunately, that poseability and incredible sculptwork seems to be at the sacrifice of figures being able to hold accessories reliably- on goes the rifle, off goes the helmet, on goes the helmet, damn it now the rifle has fallen between the floorboards of my shop! Sorry, just had to rant a bit.

Awesome bunker!
That trooper with the panzerfaust is about to toast himself and his buddies.

not to mention that I truthfully find most of the modern figures a pain to equip due to the softer plastic, in my small lot the Night Viper would be the exception, and actually I find the 50th viper I use to be the worst offender.if I didn't like the overall aesthetic so much I'd have melted that one ages ago! Ive actually considered going back to my roots a bit and investing in some beater ARAH figures to use specifically for photos. I prefer them overall, despite them not being as dio friendly. I'm here mostly on a nostalgia trip, after all!

I know the uncorking the bottle issue. Vintage CTs are pretty rare though. Alternatives are the Black Major “factory customs” and the 2004/5 CT six pack.

I actually always liked the black major customs (at least the more subdued color schemes anyway), they're just about as close to Hasbro quality that I've seen in the custom world. The tru 6 trooper and viper pit 6 packs are definitely a good go-to, and I've also thought about the ARAH collection, which incidentally was my re-introduction to GiJoe mania after losing interest in the early 90s (they don't necessarily need to be troopers). Really the deciding factors are going to be a price point, and of course something I don't mind abusing a bit. |

If abusing is what you will be doing, then DG Blues or Black Major is definitely the way to go.
You guys should definitely also invest in the new UV printers. Some decent ones are in the $200 USD range. Cannons and guns would only make these pieces even more impressive! |

Another impressive piece! Dig the simplicity, yet the detail is there, too! Very nice!
