I originally thought about using RoC CC as some kind of hunter/killer in the half length trench coat with a paraviper head, but why the armored chest plate? The I received my Defense of Cobra Island 7=Pack and wasn't happy with Dr. M. His head sculpt it awesome, but the torso is a bit much and I never ever knew why he was a buff scientist with no shirt on, so I did this. Needs some purple paint inside the coat and some touch ups around the legs. Actually, they are Shipwreck legs, not the ones that came on CC, but either would work. Then i want to grime up the chest piece.

Here are two of my quick customs.
First is my LT. Stone, crack torso, add Heavy Duty Impact Armor arm, seal, take hot glue and fill eye socket, smooth with x-acto, paint. Second is my Lowlight, shave ROC Shipwreck add to Snake Eyes body, add Roadblock vest and Firefly goggles, paint. Mega awesome dude! I might have to steal your idea!

Man, I finally picked up a vise, and want to punch myself for not doing it sooner. I got one at Home Depot for $22, best $22 investment ever.
So far tonight I've just been cracking all my spare torsos just for the hell of it, and I've finally cracked open at least 5 for customs. Holy shitballs, has this opened up my custom doors for me. Haha. Anyways, I picked up ROC Paris Snake Eyes, which as much as I hate to say it, is a pretty awesome figure. I needed his legs, arms and head though, so he lasted 5 minutes before going into the vise. Also, I was really impressed with the Cover Girl... Then I realized why: She's a 5-pack Lady Jaye torso and upper legs, with a slight collar mod for the new hair. Her legs are spot-on for old Cover Girl, so I'll be using a mix between the new CG and the DVD Lady Jaye for my Cover Girl base, with Hawk arms. Anyone got a Courtney Krieger jacket? :( That's the only part of the puzzle I'm missing so far! Maybe try Indiana Jones arms and jacket? |

I wonder if the old Rubbing alcohol method of removing paint apps will work on those stupid Post Office Joe logos?

The Cobra emblem is classic, so is the TF Autobot and Decepticon logos. This new... UPS-and-USPS-had-a-baby shield thing is lame. I use Denatured Alcohol, but I took off the emblem on Flash's shoulder pads tonight, but unfortunately I had to repaint black over it, because it took off the black paint as well. Luckily, white/silver's usually one of the easier colors to come off, and it did fairly easily. |
