WOW! This turned out amazing.
I agree that the Footloose head sculpt works way better for Crankcase. Quote:
Yes, I totally see Tom Selleck.

Nice Job, but i Always thought he had a Galil instead of a FAL.

Thanks, everyone!
It could go either way I suppose, but it always seemed like more of an FAL para in my opinion.

I love the recipe, and your painting is always inspiring.
I really love how you keep using that Indiana jones collar. Are you just cutting it off the figure than gluing it on the new torso?

Basically. I have to trim away the Firefly torso’s original standing collar to remove some bulk. I ruined a couple Indies figuring out exactly how to cut the collar off the right way, but they are plenty cheap thanks to China-Bay.

Awesome. I loved the ARAH figure too. I have to say though, I felt that the 2008 CC was a good figure in that it had that angry farm kid look, and the file card says he is a rumrunner with a bad temper, sooo... IMHO, 2008 looks more like the file card description.
But, this figure is awesome. Less Michael Fassbender and perhaps more 1990s Tom Selleck. Fassbender creeps me out with his little teeth. On the rifle, I initiall assumed, back in the 80s, that it was a Galil, partially because I loved the Galil and was a real gun geek. However, a few months ago, there was a discussion of this on HT, and I believe it is in fact an FAL, going with the weirdly British look of 1985 CC. Not sure why they made him look British, but he does. I would say though, that the Galil ACE, the gun that came with the Tomahawk and 3pk Sgt Airborne, would make an awesome PDW for a vehicle driver. Maybe I am overthinking it, but the straight mag suggests to me 7.62 therefore, an FAL. Galils in the 80s were either 5.56 or 7.62x39 with the curved mags. Anyway, great figure, great update. |

Nice custom! You put a lot of work into it, and it paid off with great results!

I know nothing of the gun or the look-alikes, but I do know this custom looks great! Lots of good little details here.
