Just finished this big bastard this evening on commission. Not too much to say here really, the door slides open, and it's built 100% from wood. its also almost completely collapsible and held together predominately with plug in dowels so I can get by with flat rate shipping. I was actually surprised when I finished it- once all of the parts are connected, it actually stays together well enough to pick it up and move it around as one solid piece.

WOW! These are amazing. Between your custom dioramas and Ragin' Spoon's customizable sets, I think this really illustrates that there is a market for modular diorama/playsets. We just need somebody in the Hasbro "think tank" to get with the program. Things like this would sell! Collectors would eat it up for the customize factor, and parents would eat it up because you don't have to buy a complete playset all at once.
Great work. Jason |

It looks great, and consider me amazed that you made it collapsible for the flat rate boxes.
What are the dimensions of the command center?

Every set you post looks better and better. Can you take a photo that shows the entire back side? How does the door work? It looks like a blast door! And I second the question how much does it cost?

the dimensions are 21" wide, 12" deep and 14" tall, and went with two short "asp emplacements" and an 11" tower. The collapsible aspect actually came about while packing up your set up- id been contacted to build this, was trying to figure out how in the heck I'd ship it economically, and decided just to build in sections like I did yours, but decided to try out a plug system which worked swimmingly!

Thanks, there is a downside to progress though- my personal display is almost embarrassing for me to look at now. One of these days when I've got a clear plate, I REALLY need to take a "me day" and update it! I'll add some rear view photos as soon as I get a chance to set this back up- I'm 1/2 way through the "test" packing phase, to ensure a proper ship. The door is on a simple groove based slide, with narrow boxes built to house and conceal the door while it's open. As far as pricing goes, this one was on the higher end compared to some of my previous work, but it's always different. really comes down to what you need and where you're at!

Your week just keeps on getting more impressive. I wish you sold as pieces or sets instead of custom designs.
