Man these are great and you nailed it. What color/brand did you use for Roadblock’s vest? Also, what did you do to plug the holes on them?

Thank you Kuh-rupt! I’m sure that you’ll notice some of these and upcoming formulas as emulating yours (thank you). Roadblock’s vest colors are mainly Citadel “Moot Green” and “Evil Suns” Scarlet. Plugging the vest holes is (forgive me for mis-remembering) JediJones’ or MagicWazard’s idea of taking a Blank “Smooth” modular piece and inserting them into the inside of the vest basically in reverse

Great job on the Mega Marines and Roadblock RJ, I may have to copy a few of those builds.

I had been out of collecting Joes for a while when the following Battle Corps figures were on the shelves, but on a lark, me and my buddy Kenny (RIP, brother) decided to go to the drugstores and five-&-dimes around town to see how many we could pick up. We had a gentleman’s agreement that whoever could call out the figure’s name first (once we could tell there were actually Joes on the peg...and there never seemed to be more than one figure per store) got to buy the figure. Kenny was able to buy Dr. Mindbender and Major Bludd. I got Mutt, but Junkyard had been stolen from the bubble. So these three guys have some sentimental value for me...

Nicely done. I actually redid my Clutch custom using that same head.

Man, I love that Tripwire!
I plug my holes a little differently. I don't simply insert the smooth armor on the inside. I cut the peg off and insert it from the back until the front is smooth. Then I glue it in place. Once dry, I'll Dremel the inside smooth. This way, the panel doesn't make the vest stick out from the chest. I made a Roadblock v.2 similar to yours, but without the ARAH correct colors. Waiting on an order to come in, to complete a Clutch v. 2. All of your customs are great, and serve as a constant reminder that eventually, I'll replace all of my Joes with MTF figures! Jason |
