Wow! Great Hardball. Much nicer than what we are getting in the convention set.

I love reading your comments about G.I. Joe in your childhood. It really makes the customs more personable.
Great Hardball custom! Like you, I had grown out of toy collecting by the time this original figure was released, but he's such a great looking character, especially with that multi-shot grenade launcher, that he's almost one of the obligatory characters. Great choice on the torso. It really does look like a baseball jersey. Jason Quote:
I don't remember exactly what started my interest in G.I. Joe. I only know that I was very fortunate to have the entire 1982 single carded figure run when I was 6 years old. Don't remember if I saw one on peg and asked for it or if one of my parents brought one home as a surprise.
All I do remember is the excitement I felt placing all the gear on them and playing with these unbelievable action figures that stole all the interest I had in Star Wars and He-Man at the time. This collection has taken me back 35 years. Your work in recreating that run is brilliant. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Alpine is up. OB

Hardball is excellent, never would have thought of using that Tomax/Xamot torso.

Falcon looks great! I think what I like best with your customs is that you use available Hasbro parts, with limited (if any) modifying/sculpting of parts. For the most part, your customs are kit-bashed, repaints - choosing the perfect combination of parts with the correct color scheme. Which means, Hasbro could actually pic from what they already have and deliver renditions of the characters that fans are craving for! Not sure if you're familiar with this customizer, but your work reminds me a lot of Justin Cook (Yak Chewie)from Yakface, Star Wars Fan Page. You both have a knack for choosing the right combination of parts with an awesome paint job.
Even with your Falcon custom, the Marauder's knife is a nice touch, but Hasbro could use the identical parts you've chosen with the comic pack Falcon web gear and be 100% better than any version they've put out to date. Now let's talk about that Sgt. Slaughter!! Not sure if you've posted that one before (I'll check Joe Customs). Man he looks great! I LOVED Sgt. Slaughter as a kid. He was under-utilized in the comics, and over-utilized in the cartoon. I don't know, maybe it was just the idea that Sgt. Slaughter represented a real person that resonated with me as a kid. I like that you used the Rock-block torso. I think that Sgt. Slaughter should be muscled up larger than life. He's like the ultimate "tough guy" in the G.I. Joe universe. Jason |

Honestly, if only Hasbro had made a way to put the two halves of the torso together easier like the vintage ones, I'd be able to make a lot more different figures. The one thing I was never and still am not good at is torso splitting. I only do it if the figure will have something like tight webgear or jacket to be able to hold them together in addition to the glue.
For that reason above, that's why I still don't have a definitive Falcon for myself. I love the body but not the arms of the ones Hasbro released so far. Your Falcon looks awesome. Wish Hasbro (not the club so I can actually afford it) would make one like yours.

all your customs are amazing! what shade of green did you use on Falcon? I guess what brand also? I have made so many Falcon customs and he either comes out to light and minty looking or to dark.
