Excellent work as always. I agree, Grand Slam is just a Flash clone

Wetsuit looks great. Can you tell us what you used for the yellow orange (a mix)? And even if you say the tweaks are minor, your figure work, painting, and photos are always top tier, and look ultra authentic.
It's too bad all of the available Leathernecks do not stand well (heightwise) next to this Wet Suit figure build. Any plans on making a Leatherneck that stands well with this? Grand Slams look good too. He was my first figure, a straight arm 1982, and only figure for that year. I grudgingly agree that he's a not much a a character or figure in the first place (Flash repaint, sparse weapon expertise, not much file card info/personality, E-4). But since he was my first, I root for any attention he gets--so, thank you for posting! Last thing: when do we start seeing Project No Joe? |

I is from Americana and it is available at Michael's I believe. No plans for Leatheneck right now. The 50th version works for me at the moment even though the paint apps could be improved. The original 13 would not be complete without GS. It's a shame that he never got any additional characterization in the comics and the cartoon. His filecard makes him out to be the team first geek. That is something that I can relate to and I'm sure that I'm not alone. With some exposure, he could have been a popular character with fans. Retro Toy Chest 3: No Joe Edition is planned to roll out starting February 19th and will run for 2 weeks. We will be posting here as well as FB and Instagram. If you want all the info, the forums are the best place to check it out though. OB
