*Update*
With Vintage gear now: Probably one of my favorite newer Joes from the late 80's. He's very impractical but just looks so cool. At least to a kid he did. He would always be the one in the wave that sold out first. Sadly, Hasbro hasn't updated him into the modern line so here's mine. I got the kit from Raginspoon for the helmet and launcher backpack assembly. Lower legs are SRO Deep Six and knee pads I believe were from a Cobra Para Viper. Body and head is Retaliation Duke. The hoses to the handles was made out of Scrap Iron remote hoses and regular hoses. I only wish I kept his vintage backpack and missiles so that I can choose to go with the vintage look or the modern one. Without launcher

That's a cool idea on the base body. The more figures I add to my to do list the more I find myself looking for "no paint" base bodies to use to save time.

Yeah, it was nice in that I only had to paint the lower legs, helmet visor, webgear and all the black and silver dry brushing parts only. The main body was untouched.
The backpack is actually still green. The flash highlights the silver dry brushing on it which is why it looks silver in some shots. I did the dry brushing to make it look more metallic and less plastic like.

Thanks for the comments. Anyone have a set of his vintage gear, or at least his backpack with missiles to spare?

I've updated him now with the vintage gear. If I should end up getting the FSS one, I'll probably try to put some of the parts from my Fast Draw onto him.
