Recently I came to discover that Raginspoon has a lot of cool cast parts that are useful in improving a few of my COBRA customs---Shadow-Viper, Headhunter Stormtrooper, Laser-Viper, and Urban Assault Nullifier(or Flak-Viper...I personally call him Flak-Viper since he uses the same mold).
First up is Shadow-Viper. I remember Shadow-Viper being one of the coolest new army builders to appear in the year 2000, yet it's a pity Hasbro hasn't tried making one in ME form. So I wanted to make my own version...I wanted to find an upper body that was already in teal that didn't require repainting, mainly because I suck at repainting over shoulder joints, so the ROC Elite-Viper upper body was perfect. I used the legs of one of the ROC Accelerator Suit figures since those were the most accurate. I originally used the POC Tornado Kick SE webgear, but after seeing the Astro-Viper kit on Raginspoon's web site, I replaced it with the accessories from the kit. Headhunter Stormtroopers are up next. Out of all of them, I find the HH Stormtrooper to be my favorite. The original ARAH figure looked bad-ass with all those spikes, and unfortunately Hasbro/the FSS still hasn't made a ME version of him yet, much to my disappointment since he's probably the best new 1990's COBRA army builder ever. For one of them, I had originally I used a Neo-Viper head(which looked fairly close) but it's hard to beat the cast version which I naturally used to replace it. I didn't use all of the kit though, mainly because I felt only the head and the webgear were the only two parts that were needed. It was also one of the most time consuming for me to work on because of the extra spike attachments I added to his shoulders along with some black sculpey. It took quite a few tries to get it right because sometimes they would fall right off and then I'd have to place new sculpey to keep them in tact along with a drop of super glue. The other one is just a repainted Crysis 2 figure. Third is Laser-Viper. I saw the FSS version and while it looked nice, the one thing that bothered me was the leg choice, especially those bo-legged ROC Neo-Viper legs. I used the 50th Anniversary COBRA Viper Officer body, since it didn't require any repainting on the joints(except his hands but that's no big deal) and originally I had used a Matt Trakker helmet. At the time it was the closest thing to a Laser-Viper helmet as I could use, but after seeing a more accurate version on Raginspoon's site, I knew I just had to replace it. And finally Urban Assault Nullifier/Flak-Viper...man, I remember when TRU had some awesome exclusives, one of which was the Urban Assault Team 6-pack. I suppose I can kinda see why Hasbro hasn't made an ME version of this figure yet, though I'm more perplexed as to why they haven't made an ME version of Flak-Viper. Anyways, Flak-Viper was fairly easy to make, and originally I had used a Retaliation Ninja Duel Snake Eyes head, which looked fairly accurate, but after finding a cast Flak-Viper helmet, I decided to use it on one of the smaller 25th Anniversary heads and presto, looks even better. Formulas: Shadow-Viper: Head, upper body: ROC Elite-Viper Helmet, backpack, laser attachments: Raginspoon's Astronmer Kit Legs: one of the ROC Accelerator Suit figures Headhunter Stormtrooper(left): Head, webgear: Raginspoon's Imperial Body Snatcher kit Upper body: ROC Neo-Viper or M.A.R.S. Officer Shoulder padding: Black sculpey Shoulder spikes: toothpicks that I cut off with a pair of scissors Legs: 25th Anniversary Greenshirts 5-pack Firefly Headhunter Stormtrooper(right): Crysis 2 figure Laser-Viper: Head: POC Snake Eyes(the one with the winter jacket) Helmet, backpack, lasers: Raginspoon's Laser Pack Webgear: 25th Anniversary Matt Trakker(modified) Body: 50th Anniversary COBRA Viper Officer Urban Assault Nullifier/Flak-Viper: Helmet: Raginspoon's Flak-Viper helmet Head: 25th Anniversary Flash or one of the greenshirts Upper Body: ROC Neo-Viper Legs: 25th Anniversary Ace Backpack and missiles: POC Desert Duke

I love them.
The headhunter storm troopers are freaking bad ass. I plan on getting some kits from raginspoon pretty soon. Nice to see them in use.

A nice looking group of figures! Ragin'Spoon has some great kits, and you have put them to good use.
