Those little tweaks of changing head sculpts on bodies and change of helmets made a world of difference!
The comic pack version on each end look great! Jason |

Working with a new phone and newly modfied display stand to test out, here are some of my additional Stalker figures unofficially part of my O13 Collections. These aren't direct translations of any Stalker versions--just using already great base figures, and some restrained embellishing:
GiJoe_O13-Stalker-AdditionalFigs_2018-0805ac by J Perez, on Flickr Far Left: 50th "Retro" version, using 50th Flint parts, inspired the original comics, issues 26, and 38,39. No camo at this time, but dirtied up with black wash and brown drybrush to compensate (and to highlight the amazing sculpt). Center left: 2004 comic darker version, repainted the webgear to something more earth toney compared to my previous Comic Book version figures. This tan (Testors Field Drab) is actually more accurate to the colors of the IDW reprints--but I won't be repainted the previous set. Center right: 2009 darker version from Target UBP, repainted webgear and flesh to look more in line with his dark version o-ring counterpart. Changing the webgear from black to tan make for an interesting and somewhat different look compared to the by previous 25th Classic. Far right: 30th POC Stalker Revised, repainted shirt and black washed pants; modified ROC Pit Trooper vest and 50th Lowlight head; loosely inspired by 86 Stalker and Battle Corp Stalker, as well as my vision of him back in 1990-1991. Back then, my ideal Joe team was distilled to 9 or 10 core favorites, and was way too beret heavy. Also the beret, while fine for retro takes, never felt very field modern to match the POC modern take. |

These Stalkers are fantastic! I'm particularly in love with the one on the far right.

Dude that 50th Retro Stalker is AWESOME! I love that gun! It's very "Mike-One-Six with a Starlight Scope"-ish! HA!

I'm glad that reference still came through. Original plans were to go for an exact replica of rifle in the comics (sling, extra cartridge), but it vwould take too long...

How did you make the head for the 50th "Retro?" It looks like a Resolute (dreadlocks) Stalker (with hair shaved down), but from the angle in the picture, I can't tell if you changed the beret. If I were to ever make some LRRP customs, I would borrow heavy from this recipe! Jason |
