Todd, thank you for offering feedback! It really means a lot coming from you. I took a note of your comments/suggestions...I'm adding those shaded goggles today! Swapping the gloves out for articulated ones would come next as I'd love to see the impact of such modification. Come to think of it, I also omitted adding a radio headset, an integral part of the character's gear.
I'm also glad that the second Shockblast picture depicts the figure more accurately. So excited and look forward to seeing what you came up with for Slice's Custom Contest!! Cheers! Quote:
There's his upper arm! Better! So far as your COD Ghost goes, he looks good. Personally, I'd add goggles, maybe ones that shade his eyes somewhat. A lesser item would be to swap out the gloves for articulated ones, but that would mean you would have to swap the forearms, too, with what you used. I am just a fan of the articulated hands when they can be used; when it isn't an option the swivel wrists will do... Regardless, the figure is a solid build!

I agree that goggles on the skull mark balaclavas look good! You couldn't be more accurate by using the term "enhancements" as deeming a figure more articulate requires 1-2 tweaks in its construction...again thank you for pointing that out and of course taking the time to review today's posts.
On a side note, I've just viewed the customs considered by Slice as part of the contest announced recently; needless to say, your night force Shockwave rocks!! Fantastic custom, congrats on my part...love what you did with that one! All contestants are winners in my book (not sure who the winner is) so kudos to all. |

Todd, Yes he's the green shockwave from 2008 (Shockblast) which was pretty much a repaint of 1988 & 1989 Shockwave...cool figure!
I've used the Steel Brigade Delta body and a Steel Brigade head & vest; then I added MTF accessories (hat, holster, pistol, knife, riffle & Uzi). I'm particularly fond of that base body (Shock trooper included) which I've also used to create my version of a Call of Duty MW Ghost (pic attached). Cheers for commenting on that Avatar! |

Thank you! Go and ahead and invest the change in that MTF holster, I'm no experienced custom builder, yet I was able to add it to this particular GI Joe body. I'm a fun of those addons.

Yes, you're absolutely right! I went back to the picture and actual figure to verify (it looks so tiny in the post)...you are truly hawk-eyed and highly observant, I'm flipping it now.
Thank you for letting me know and again congrats for a powerful entry to the recent custom content. Night Force Shockwave was spot on and my favorite of the bunch...fantastic custom, I was really looking forward to seeing what the six contestants came up with...it was worth the wait!! |
