I'll probably be adding another quick head-swap custom today (another Cobra Commander since he's my favorite Cobra character)... be on the lookout! |

Thanks! Tell you what, those Serpentor's were pain's in my ass... Cool! Which one's didn't you like? Anything you think I could do to improve them (except for sculpting ears for Shipwreck)? |

Those are fantastic!
Sine you are looking into a hooded WW3 CC, how would our friend Destro from the ROC line do as a donor? I know that the articulation would be superior, and he would not be as short as Col. Dovchenko. |

Pardon the poor photography, but it's late, and my wife's camera's ISO is completely jacked up... I'll snap some decent shots with my camera later.
Here's a couple more... first off, a few simple ROC mods: I was very, VERY disappointed with the PITT Hawk, so I made him all better. I used the vise-grip crack & pop method to place jacket arms on regular Hawk's body, then attached regular Hawk's head, painted his belt buckle and voila! A damn cool looking Hawk... Secondly, after painting that Hawks belt buckle, I decided to paint the other Hawks buckle (like I said, the first few were easy mods)... A little more complicated here... The Doctor, for some unfathomable reason, did not come with his monocle... an error I set out to rectify. For this mod, I used one of the little round plastic hip sockets found in all the Joe's. I painted it black, with a blue center, and attached it (via good old super-glue) to his mask so that EVERYTHING is still removable. And a little close-up look: Last edited by Lantern_Lad; 08-17-2009 at 04:27 AM.. |

Next up, the two more in-depth customs.
After reading DDP WWIII for the third time, I decided that I wanted to customize a WWIII Flint. Using (another) ROC Hawk for the body, Firefly's hands, and Cobra Flints head, along with some olive drab green for the pants. I decided to leave the ROC logo on his chest & belt because I think it looks damn cool... so I painted the buckle gold as well... Then, since I have so many damn Duke's & Firefly's lying around, I decided to do a WWIII Duke as well. Since 90% of the Joes wore ribbed, long sleeved shirts, instead of the button ups they usually wore, I used a Firefly torso & arms, and Duke legs with General Hawk hands (had an extra pair after the Flint), Duke's baby-faced noggin and his bandolier strap. Applied all with a buttload of tan paint & more olive drab... and here you go. That's it for now... hope to add a WWIII Snake Eyes, Old Snake, and maybe a Covergirl custom soon... Good night! |
