I've always been a huge Aquaman fan, so that ended up making Black Manta one of my favorite villains. One that I've always been determined to get right. As a plus, he looks to be an upcoming DLC character for Injustice 2. And he worked out as part of the Injustice League, so I was able to make that roster this week with all kinds of different designs.

Sculpted up the belt and backpack, then moved to the head. Cut off the lower half of Daredevil's head, then added sculpt around that. First bit just to get my overall size and shape in place. Then, a second layer to smooth out edges, even up the build, and make the eyes a little easier to shape up. Dremeled in, added some earbud wire for the cables, then added some more sculpt around each connection point. As well as a small bit on the back of his neck, since he always seems to have an extra red point there. From there, a full repaint, and topped off with a trident. And included the Injustice League group shot to show off all the others, too. Black Manta, Captain Cold, Parallax Sinestro, Lex Luthor, Black Adam, early 90s Catwoman, Bizarro, and a maskless Deathstroke!

I've always dug Black Manta, and you did really great job on your custom! But you used a MU Daredevil head? I don't recall DD's noggin being shaped like a UFO. Did you use it as a base and sculpt over it?
