Awesome customs, really like the OG13 updates. I think making Grand Slam an artillery spotter with the jump jet is genius.
One comment, and it probably is from the original file card this way, Cutter is a USCG officer, so he wouldn't have a primary MOS of boatswain/boatswain's mate. USCG officers are aviation, marine safety, or operations (all boaty and law enforcement stuff), and then a bunch of support specialties that I think officers do later in their careers. Most start on either a cutter or boat station, then go flight school or a support field after getting some fleet experience. |

Been busy working on a special project - "Custom Blue Shirt Legion" which was highly inspired by HissHissFangFang's amazing Cobra Customs. I have all the pictures taken for this project. Now just working on the Photoshop cropping/editing. Soon as that Project is posted, the next big project will be the Oktober Guard. I also have 4 Oktober Guard custom vehicles that I will post. Most if not all 4 have been displayed in other threads before, but not really given the attention I will to this presenting this Project. Thanks for the interest! Jason |

So, with Cutter being the 'Joe's primary boat pilot, I thought boatswain mate fit better as an MOS. Sounds more military than Hasbro's "hovercraft pilot." Jason |

Alrighty! The next update to the CLASS OF 1984 is kind of a current "trendy" custom utilizing the Marvel Spider-Man vs. Mr. Negative action figure.
I knew I didn't want to tackle updating a 1984 "ninja" Storm Shadow since the 50th version is an almost perfect update (minus not having short sleeves). So, I was looking more toward a civilian looking Stormy anyway, and then BAM! here comes the Mr. Negative action figure in a white 3-pc suit! The only real "customizing" to this figure was (1) paint the neck post flesh tone using Tamiya flesh tone paint, (2) swap out the hands for better-articulated hands (Life Line?), and (3) swap out those white tennis shoes for some dressier-looking, black winged-tipped shoes from "Arctic" Cobra Commander. Stormy can't be going to the club, looking all clean, wearing some white tennis shoes! He ain't gonna have no game in those kinds of 'kicks! [NOTE** if you wear tennis shoes with a business suit, please grow up and just quit. Tennis shoes are casual, and not even "business casual."] Anyway, comments, critiques, and questions appreciated and encouraged! Jason |

Thanks for the info! Yeah the MOSs are a carry over from the toy's file card. For each character, I try to update the file cards to blend, what I think, are the best info/descriptions from all of the previous file cards. Sometimes, like with Zap and Rock-n-Roll, I will add info from the comics or like with Snake Eyes, I will create my own mythos behind the character.
So, with Cutter being the 'Joe's primary boat pilot, I thought boatswain mate fit better as an MOS. Sounds more military than Hasbro's "hovercraft pilot." Jason |
