Love Blowtorch and Mutt! 1984 was a GREAT year for Joe (and Cobra!), and it is great to see updates to these characters!

Alright, so here is my favorite Cobra character - the Baroness! I think it's the whole sexy villainess vibe she's got going. I plan on doing even more versions of her.
The 50th body is pretty much a perfect ME rendition of ARAH Baroness. I like the SDCC Baroness w/ Ravage version the best for the all black (no silver highlights) body. I even like the SDCC head sculpt with the exception of it being slightly too big, the eyebrow angles, and the skin tone. I like having several versions of my favorite characters, and since I knew I would utilize the MTF Valkyrie French braid head as an alternate look, I used this head as the basis for this custom. Dremeled the hair away to fit in an Avac's Lab SDCC Baroness hair flex-cast. Originally, I wanted to use the "librarian" Book Worm glasses on this custom, but I ruined a pair trying to get them to fit. So, my next best bet was (from my available parts) the ROC Baroness "cat eye" glasses. Although they are tinted you can still see her eyes through the lenses. I think they give her kind of "tactical" look. The 2nd head sculpt is simply the MTF Valkyrie French braid with Book Worm glasses glued in place. I like that they are clear enough to see her eyes (really well), but I'm thinking they may be too much of a librarian look (or are they?!). The 3rd head sculpt is a MU Alpha Flight Aurora head, with the hair slightly readjusted. The glasses are Vortious Custom resin cast (Dr. Jones) glasses. Tell me which head sculpt you like best and which set of glasses. Do you think the Book Worm glasses look too much like a librarian. Really interested in your opinions here! The bookworm glasses have the classic frame shape but the color throws it off. If you can paint them black I think you will have a winner there. If those glasses don't fit the first head (with SDCC hair) then maybe you can try them on a Marion Ravenwood head (you could either paint the hair black or shave it off and glue the SDCC hair on if it fits). That will reduce the head size and get fairly accurate glasses.

Here's another Class of 1984 character the Stinger Driver which I use the code name Motor Viper rather than the generic "the Enemy."
The body for this figure is a grey custom "army builder" figure from Vortious Customs. I'll end up upgrading this custom with different legs. Not happy with how his sculpt came out. Anyway, ever since seeing the Concept Case Stinger Driver, I've been Jonesing for a ME version. For some reason, I love Stinger Drivers. I think it may be because I never owned one as a kid, nor did I know anyone who had one. The helmet for this custom is from ebay seller cobra1678. It's this cool custom POC Cobra Trooper helmet with a raised officer insignia all cast as one piece. It's really nice! The vehicle in the File Card pic is the Retaliation 4X4 that I've customized into a modern Stinger - added the missile rack and windshield. I'll be posting pics of custom vehicles next month (ha, I just gave myself a deadline!). Comments and critiques encouraged and welcomed! Thanks. Doh! I just noticed a huge error to my file cards! I didn't cover up the "GIJoe" Logo with a "Cobra the Enemy" logo. Well, I can't have that! I'll have to fix that and update the posts!
