updated pics This is more of a WIP. with a request for some suggestions. I didn't want to change too much of the figure as I liked the base but needed the rolled sleeves, a better head and a different setup for his holster. A knife? That's it? He's carrying an antique WW2 belt fed machine gun and he only gets a knife as a backup? I guess he can whip peeps with his bullet belts. So I gave him a combination gun holster and knife sheath many special forces use now. Basically same width, double the fun. I gave him the same gun but from a different figure (a 6 inch jin roh fig). I'm working on the sling right now. Gun belts are going to have to wait awhile but I do have better scaled replacements. The knife is handmade. Now here are some requests on materials, if anyone can help and now the part I need some help on. The earbud wires/cd player pouch. I made a quick replacement that of course does not work at all. I'm looking for a much smaller, hopefully coated set of wires that will look closer to scale. secondly, this is where I need some serious help. RnR is a British rock enthusiast and I was wanting to get a couple small logo decals to work as patches. I've seen some do the logo for covergirl and was wondering if I can get some various British/british rock patches. I was thinking a flag for the cd case and the stones mouth for his helmet. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. Last edited by GI Guppy the third; 06-21-2009 at 11:14 AM.. |

Nice paint apps. I thought that I was going to be seeing a Gene Simmons custom though. Your customs look good.

That is flippin' awesome! That is how R&R was meant to look, IMO. I love the idea of giving him the earphones. Really gives him his identity.
The Rolling Stones logo on the helmet should be frickin' sweet. I dunno if you would like this idea but I would try to find a scaled down guitar and strap it on his back, but that might be overdoing it since you already gave him the earphones. |

love this.
for the patches, I can't recommend waterslide decals enough. Takes a little bit to master them, but once you do you can make anything you want, and it's very rewarding. With some simple photoshop or paintbrush skills you can reduce any logo you can find online to the proper scale and not lose much resolution either. But as for the custom, again it's perfect. Would like to know what head you used, and also would like to see more of the combo holster.
