love this.
For the patches, i can't recommend waterslide decals enough. Takes a little bit to master them, but once you do you can make anything you want, and it's very rewarding. With some simple photoshop or paintbrush skills you can reduce any logo you can find online to the proper scale and not lose much resolution either. But as for the custom, again it's perfect. Would like to know what head you used, and also would like to see more of the combo holster.

It's made of micro canvas and simply has a small sheath behind the gun holster. A gun magazine I had was doing a spot on these awesome blades and most of the soldiers carried two with one in a sheath behind their sidearm. |

I was expecting Bon Scott or Angus Young when I opened this thread, but I'll take this ;)
Very realistic looking figure, for sure. As for a replacement for the wires, I'm not sure you're going to find actual wire thin enough to look in scale with something that size. The only thing I can recommend and I'm not even sure it would work would be to take some small gauge wire, like 20 or 22, and coat it with a thin layer of something like plasti-dip. It's something that I'm using to create the strands that pop off of Marvel Universe's Carnage. It puts a thin coat of a liquid rubbery material over the wire, but allows the wire to remain flexible. But like I said, I'm not even sure if that would be thin enough. |

Amazing how something as simple as earphone wires can really add character to old RNR. Great idea.

The Germans won't be retiring it until next year, but it's still in use elsewhere. |

I like the fact that the O-13 have an old look, even for the early 80's. It's just with that particular weapon, same with the browning, it's a belt fed gun that only has a couple tactical positions, both requiring bipod placement. If he's forced into close quarters, he's going to have a lot of difficulty moving and cover firing an advance or retreat used by modern forces. If the enemy's able to out flank, he's going to have to depend on his comrades to cover his rear. I love the weapon, and like the fact that's what he's carrying. For some reason, it brings up memories of the movie version of The Wall (british rock). Even if it's not much, a 45 as a sidearm will help. |

BTW, I didn't know they had inkjet decal paper. For some reason, I always thought you HAD to have a laser printer.

Now after reading your post, I'm interested in what plasti-dip is. I can find craft wire that's almost as thin as hair, if I can dip it in something to cover the metallic luster, I might just use that. For those that have seen my Stalker custom, will remember the shoe strings I made. While I liked doing that, it's a pain to keep paint on permanently.
If you click on the YouTube link in my signature, I just uploaded a video that shows some of the tendrils that I created for a Marvel Universe Carnage figure, as well as the tongue that I did for a Venom. Should give you some idea of what it can do.
