Wow, totally didn't expect all the love for "Cottonmouth". It's a pretty simple recipe, take 1 Gung-Ho torso and use a sharp x-acto to scratch off the existing tattoo. Add Copperhead legs, a shockblast head and a pilot destro neck sash. Toss in a sprinkling of cool weaponry and a bomb sash and paint til done.

Thanks everyone for all the nice words. As for the compliments about painting skills, I'd argue that the custom paint jobs are not that amazing. I know I see more imperfections than the camera picks up but I want them to look store bought. Maybe I expect too much but I've been painting since I was 13 and make my living as a visual fx Compositor and in between gigs I tattoo. I also do a lot of fine arts and digital painting.
I think a lot of those skills I use daily are crossovers to doing customs and miniature painting. I don't think there are any magic tricks, just a lot of practice and the love and motivation to do it. You also have to use the right tools, good brushes and good paint. I use brushes I'd use on canvases and I use testors model masters and acryl paints. |

Dise is awesome, and I love the idea of using Ronin's head for Slice! The cottonmouth's simplicity is what works, great character!

You have a great sense of design and originality, Hasbro should hire you to breath new life into their tired ideas.
