Okay, I’ll admit it – I’m one of the few and the proud, a Dr. Mindbenber fan. When Hasbro announced that Mindbenber would finally be made in the Modern Era style, I was excited until I saw the prototype. I was grateful to be getting the figure, but just too many details were missing. I’m not a big fan of troop building so I was hesitant to buy the Defense of Cobra Island seven-pack just for one figure. When I saw the figure show up on eBay without his accessories, I decided to pick one up and do it the way I thought it should be done. With the help of my beautiful wife, I finally have the Modern Era Dr. Mindbenber I’ve always hoped for!
The base is, of course, the figure from eBay with parts from the Comic Pack Dataframe, Cobra Commander from the Greatest Battles Pack, a Modern Era Cobra Viper, and of course, the prod from the original ARAH Mindbender. The cape was made from fabric purchased from Hobby Lobby with various parts repainted. It’s not perfect, and I may toy with it some more, but here’s the final result! Thanks for looking! |

He was shirtless because he was a totall badass...would you screw with a guy in tight purple pants, shirtless, leather suspenders and bulging muscles with a mind probe and a monacle? I think not...
